Hydrant System Flushing

Please be advised that hydrant and water distribution system flushing within the communities of Red Lake, Balmertown, Cochenour, McKenzie Island and Madsen will begin on September 20, 2025 for approximately 4 weeks. During the flushing process, there should be no interruptions to water service. Common and temporary effects of the flushing process include a slight drop in water pressure and/or cloudy/discoloured water.

This routine maintenance is necessary to ensure water quality and proper operation of our hydrants. Residents may notice temporary changes in water pressure or slight discoloration during this time. If discoloration occurs, please run your cold water until it clears.
